PHOTO HAIKUS

My practice of taking a photo and writing an accompanying haiku began in early 2015 when I awoke at 6 a.m. to work on Yellow Ribbon Homes' waterfront project house that was an hour drive from home. I'm not a morning person, yet, with our (then) eastern facing view of Puget Sound and Seattle in the distance, I witnessed the sunrise and started to anticipate the beauty and inspiration each day would bring. I've continued the practice off and on.
